4. About 2% of street children in Cambodia die every day from
hunger or hunger-related causes.
5. The majority of hunger deaths are caused by chronic
malnutrition, sickness, and disease.
The Sponsor a child
programs allows you to do the greatest thing you have ever done: If
you sponsor one street children he/she is no longer hungry,
collecting food from trashcans and
landfills or
beg for food leftovers,
he/she can drink fresh water and get medicine if he/she is sick.
This amount might even prevent him/her from getting HIV in the
future. Moreover, with your daily dollar you will send him/her to
school and give him/her the tools to build his/her own future. You
could be the one who made it all possible for him/her, with less
than a dollar a day.
